Feast for the Beast

Feast for the Beast

A Poem by jacob erin-cilberto

Feast for the Beast
love
is becoming a side dish
less prevalent
the meal is losing its meaning
we are too saturated with
the main entree
hate

Man, you said it brother! It'd be nice if everyone just took a holiday from that main course.

Short, sad and puzzling and beautiful at the same time.
I agree with you. We no more can enjoy the sweet taste of love and life. We are in hurry for everything and although technology has saved us a lot of time, we waste more and more time than ever.
Salute to you sir

Does seem like there is a lot of hate on the plate. Perhaps fasting isn't such a bad idea after all.

Yes you are right Jacob. Hate stealing the good from our world. Powerful and worthwhile words shared my friend.

Always welcome.
very much agree and enjoy the sentiment you expressing here J.
one thought: I wonder how you chose "we"? to my ears the sense of commonality to the emotion might be better captured through "being" as a more open blanket to wrap senses in

I think we should all be concerned where this will end when there is so much wealth that is on the side of power.

Evil has become the main dish… no change in the ingredients… we are overtaken with Power hungry Vultures. Only a Cross with Prayers can alter our main Course. gently, Pat

yes, that is what can alter...I appreciate your insightful words, Pat,

This short poem packs a punch and it’s sadly true. No one wants to solve problems anymore. They want to unleash their hatred on people and it’s devastating. It starts at the top, down through some media and into those who have the propensity to unleash on people they don’t even know. Love this poem as it’s saids it all. The title is brilliant.
