A Poem by jacob erin-cilberto

representing

a day blazing with ennui

the torch lit for boredom's Olympics

love is a dry pasture

and the cows have lost their way home

skeptics preach salvation

but find none in the good book

even when reading their eyes off

their pulsating hearts know better

it will all come to conclusion soon

and maybe the end will evoke interest

maybe those cows will find purpose

as we gear up for the madness and medals.

"love is a dry pasture
and the cows have lost their way home"

Loved these words...

There's double pain here, love drying and the cows wandering off into nowhere. To me it reads like a rock bottom dead end accompanied by plenty of confusion. The relationship has lost its compass and its sense of direction and could be heading in all kinds of crazy directions. The key seems to be to find the lost purpose. This love needs swift attention.
