Lessons Learned

Lessons Learned

A Poem by DearWorld
"

Just knowing never seems enough

"

Lessons learned,

Lessons ignored,

Just knowing never seems to be enough,

How can I stand up for what I believe in

When all I know

Is that I'm not sure?

Decisions to disregard

What I've been taught,

Only to satisfy my foolish curiosity.

You told me I'd get burned

But I licked the fire anyways

Why are you always right?

Deeds are irreversible,

You warned me.

But I've poured my foundation,

Now I must live

In this wounded house I've built.

Mistakes can't be taken back,

This isn't a game,

This is my one chance

To get life right.

This is lovely write..so conrovercial,so exciting to give you a feed back
Lessons learned or ignoredHow can i stand for the things that I am never sure of
But again thats life nothing for certain ..nothing dead certain..everything is a could be
decisions i decided to disregard out of curiousity so I got burned
nothing is irreversible, nothing that could not be rewinded and taken back
I must live in a wounded house, only if you decide to do so,house could always be remade
This is a game..it is a game ,its never a one chance,a one try..you could relive your life so many times
in every way you want..nothing is or could not be relived..life could always be turned back to right ..if there is anything solid right
which I doubt it..there is nothing really right or wrong dead solid right or wrong..all depends..
how I liked your writing ,I love those that make me think..they are sign of a great write
lovely write..

A excellent poem. We make many mistakes in a life. Wise person learn and move on. Sometime it is harder to forgive yourself. Your last few lines told the story.

Wonderful. :) It describes EXACTLY what a part of human nature is like. :)) People tell us no, but we insist on going our way until we get hurt. :P This, I believe, is one of the stand-out poems I've read here. :) Great job! :D
