I Was Running in the Desert

I Was Running in the Desert

A Poem by DearWorld

I was running in the desert,

Hiding from the sun,

Looking for the person

I knew would be the one.

But the sun was relentless,

It scorched my broken heart.

I knew I must keep running,

Or else I'd fall apart.

There was an ocean there,

Within a wooden bowl,

He sat apon its waters,

He stared into my soul.

He bundled up a storm,

Blew accross my face.

Searching for an answer,

While trying to erase.

I really like it. Fantastic symbolism.
A break between the fourth and fifth lines would make it a bit better.
