Mingle in the N.O.

Mingle in the N.O.

A Poem by Erica Ross

Can we go to New Orleans and mingle with the Creoles?
Let's party with the locals and drink until we can't focus.
We will eat seafood until our bellies can't take anymore
We'll go down to Bourbon street and groove to the music like the streets are a dance floor
Let's not forget to pay homage to the damage, but regain the happiness afterwards
We'll keep our spirits up like they do with the voodoo
Be careful who you tussle with 'cause they may just get you
My people and I just want to have a good time..
Let our hair down and unwind
We were just wondering, since we're new to town..
Can you nice New Orleans folk show us around?
