Shining Star

Night falls

I continue to sit on my bed

 

With the window open

The stars look so beautiful

 

Stars in the night sky

Started to take shape

 

They reminded of the one I lost

It brought back wonderful memories

 

Laughter, tears, and happiness

Occured everyday

 

Smiling wide

Looking up at the sky

 

Never has any other day been so great

The stars would shine so bright

 

Stars in the night sky

Started to take shape

 

Bringing back the days that

Smiling was not so hard to do

 

Looking at up the sky

Seeing the beautiful sight

 

While underneath the stars

A friendship was formed

 

To this day

What I lost isn't so far

 

The shadows are near

Our past is clear

 

I know what I've lost

And I handle all the pain

 

That come to mind

When I think of the missing part

 

That night was so magical

We sat under the stars

 

We made a wish

For this to last

 

That day, our friendship formed

I can go back to the days easily

 

Because that day,

One star shined brighter than the rest

Very cute. I like the positive instead of going into dread. It's great to see friendships can come out of something that was more. I do sense a small amount of pain and some stronger feelings linger but it made a good undertone. Excellent write.
