Another anchor dropped

Another anchor dropped

A Poem by Evangeline

Searching for something tonight

Hoping for my soul to take flight

Discovering all my friends are gone

Strikes a cord so very wrong

Immense shame now permanently ingrained

Crying on my bed, my neck's becoming craned

Waiting for my sweet release

Was it too much to ask for peace?

Designs of crime trickle down my spine

There's nothing here that's really mine

I looked and looked yet failed to find

A spec of hope in humankind

So I watch as your smile dissolves

Because you know nothings been resolved

I abandoned and lost my usual tact

Saw your love and became attached

Should have known you'd turn out the light

Leaving me as hope evades my sight

Ghastly chaos blossom in the dark

Another anchor dropped in my heart

I really like the feeling of despair that this piece gives, especially the last line 'Ghastly chaos blossom in the dark
Another anchor dropped in my heart'

'Immense shame now permanently ingrained
Crying on my bed, my neck's becoming craned'
