Pin Drop

Pin Drop

A Poem by Eve
"

One day you will hear the pin.

"
Love is a constant noise.

There is the sweet, beautiful,
elegant noise that fills the heart and mind
with a joy so pure that it comes from
God himself.
This is the sound of the laughs
that are shared.
The sound of the two hearts
beating as one.
The music that fills the halls
as two bodies begin to form one.

There is the jubilant sound of union.
The sound of church bells ringing through the air.
The sounds of the laughter and tears
of loved ones who have gathered around.
The quiet sound of a kiss
as soft as the wings of a butterfly.
The sound that no one can hear
other than those lucky few.

There is the bitter noise of fights,
arguments alike.
This is the sound of tears being shed.
The sound of the hearts shattering
along with the victims realities.
This is the sound of objects being thrown,
shouting from across the room,
and the sound of a pen
scribbling a signature onto the papers
that no one was ever meant to sign.

There is the joyous noise of reconciliation.
The sound of apologetic tears rolling off the face.
The sound of the pieces falling back in place.
This is the happy gasp that one makes
after finding the final puzzle piece that
they thought they had lost long ago.
The sound of completion.

Love is compilation of all these sounds;
all these noises,
all at once.
Love is when you can choose which of these noises
you want to listen to.
Love is when there are chaotic screams all around
yet you can still hear that pin drop across the room.
Love is when all the loud, painful
shouts into the void are silenced
because you have not allowed the void to swallow you whole.
Love is a gift,
not a reward.

Keep listening for the pin.
It will come.

A delightful piece ! you've penned a perfect discription of the love of love.
Your words speak loud and clear, so much so you can hear the pin
Thank you for sharing
