Sunflowers and The Color Blue

Sunflowers and The Color Blue

A Poem by Barbara Walker
"

About my beloved twin sister

"
Sunflowers and the color blue
always make me think of  my sister, Sue.
She took the sun from the flowers
and the blue from the sky
and wound them together,
making her house, a home.

I could feel the peace and coziness
of love within her walls
which brought such contentment,
such a contentment of love to family.
Now, that she is gone, sunflowers and the color blue,
also, make me cry.

But they still make you think of her and that is all that matters....

A beautiful and sad poem. It is good to remember the people we lost and loved. Thank you for sharing your poem about your sister.

Wonderful.

Hi Barbara,

I can feel this. So sorry. A wonderful remembrance. And with the wonderful comes the pain, and least until so years from now the pain fades and only the wonderful remains.

Greatly enjoyed your piece.

Kindest regards,

Rick
