But, Always

But, Always

A Poem by Barbara Walker
"

These feelings can apply to anyone who is now missing the presence of someone significant in their life, no matter the reason-moving away, a break-up or death. The loss can make you feel so lost.

"
Life feels so surreal.
I don't know what to do with myself.
Whatever I did, before,
you always figured in there, somewhere,
somehow, in small ways,
in big ways, but, ALWAYS.

This is definitely something I can relate to. You always hit the emotions perfectly and really, it touches me. This made me think...

Lovely job.

Good use of words. Hard to move on when something is missing. The poem made me think and ponder things lost and can't be found. Thank you for sharing the excellent poetry.

Thank you Coyote!
Short yet deep, so relative and full of emotions... The title gives it that masterpiece touch. I love this.

You are more than welcome, Mum!
this really touched my heart having suffered such a loss, like so many others. with just a few choice words you captured the hollow bubble of staring at life as if through misted-over windows and wondering... excellent

Thank you Lori!
Nice write, I like the write which doesn't end closed. They are like the ends of split hair.... you can choose either strand. Your poem doesn't essentially signify the ending, rather the content, though the end intrigues me more
