Only hope.

Only hope.

A Poem by Fairy Khan

Born from dust,
Brought to it at last,
We are all humans;
Mortals, like the shadows we cast.

Running after the world,
Trying to contain it in a jar,
But our hands are too weak,
And the end is so far.

We kill and hunt and chase,
We have lost our minds and ways,
I call to you for help,
We have wrecked our numbered days.

So, tell me where to find you,
‘Cause I am holding onto your rope.
In this cruel world of nothingness,
You beloved, are my only hope.

Your poem feels like an accurate description of how things seem to be on a downward spiral in many ways, for lots of people around the world, & at times like this, it's always good to have at least one other person in the whole wide world who can make you forget about all the other garbage. Becuz you paint the scenario so bleak & frustrating, then when we get to the end of your poem, we especially feel the soothing relief of at least having this hope (((HUGS))) Fondly, Margie

This summons everything one experiences in life. And all the false things we do is for what? After our numbered days, we all end at last. Very beautifully written

Thank you for your kind review.
Life seems to shape us.
Our 'tudes try to define us.
Our hearts want to link us.
Our minds more often deny us...
and we breathe 'til we can't.

Thank you, Tina. :)
Don't ever let go of the rope. Hope is all that there is left. We are destroying our planet through greed and thoughtlessness. Many are starting to wake up now, but I wonder whether we have left it too late. Creative and with a strong message. Nice work Fairy.
