Ours To Take

This is actually a song I've written. The verse (or stanza if you would like to read this as a poem) that is repeated twice is the chorus. I really hope you enjoy it.

 I fall in love so many times,

So many types, so many kinds of love

With life itself, adventures dealt

With practicality and essentially, you

 

A slumber of craving,

More than we’re waging,

A want for affection, too

Eventually, we’ll have it all

At the palms of our sweaty hands

It is all of ours to take right now

The sun is shining on our

Pretty little heads are signing thoughts

It is all of ours to take right now

The moon is beaming on our

Little signing thoughts

Are sharing all the life

 

Stray away from all the sadness,

Sanity will be madness soon, if you don’t

Sunset after sunrise, and sunrise after sunset

Will be blue, too

 

Take it all without a storm

So the world is yours to keep

Eventually, we’ll have it all

wonderfully put. To be honest, I don't necessarily interpret it any specific way. Just like folk, I think this portrays imagery that is somewhat undescribable ? I'd like to hear what it sounds like in a song.

I think you have talent. If you can sing and play guitar, and write like this..
