Fall.

Staring out of the window,

My mind is drifting off.

I can hear the rain,

I can feel the wind.

I'm thinking about you,

Distracted by thoughts of you.

My heart is missing you,

My heart is longing for you.

I miss your voice,

Your smile.

I miss your smell,

Your touch.

Today is almost perfect,

There's wind and there's rain.

The music is on,

The candles are lit.

There's coffee on the table,

And a cup of tea.

There's the feel of Fall,

But... there's no you. 

I want you here with me,

I want to feel your touch.

I want to see your smile...

But I can't always get what I want.
