Laissez Faire

Laissez Faire

A Poem by Cerise
"

Sometimes all you want is people to leave u alone so taht you can have few minutes of peace and relaxation.

"

Sometimes I wish I were all alone

With no one to irritate, message or phone

Just leave me to myself

Try to understand my agony

Try and learn to be empathetic

Life cannot go without being sympathetic

I wish my biggest wish

To be alone and peaceful

A wish to relax and breathe

A wish to be cheerful

A wish to delete the most awful

My head aches with all the pain

Stop hurting because you will not gain

Is it too much to ask

Is it such a difficult task?

For once, I beg you to let go

Give me the time for thoughts of troubles to flow

Let the train of thoughts come to a standstill

What I ask may be hard to kill

I know there is no thrill

I know I am a retard

But u don’t have to discard

Just let me go and goodness will return

Keeping me tight will make me burn

Let me fly high...it is an important lesson to learn...

fancyfati, I enjoyed your poem, until the last stanza. I don't understand who you are talking to, yourself or others or in general.
'Retard' is jarring. It is used as an insulting word by younger kids. Retard - discard and burn - learn are two rhymes that don't work. Obviously you picked them to rhyme, and the thoughts they convey don't fit the work that you have done above.
'It is an important lesson to learn'. The thought doesn't work. Who are you talking to - the reader, yourself, others?

A nice piece. I enjoyed it!

Great and I share your desire to be left alone a lot of the time. I wrote one called the Lighthouse keeper with a similar theme. I enjoyed this very much and could feel your emotions coming through very strongly

I hear your cry, I've been meaning to let go.. but sometimes I hold myself back.
Kudos to an amazing write, I like the way the rhymes complimented each other and also didn't drift from the message.

Thank you sir for your wonderful words...am glad you liked it..:)
Two poems here, I think, two desires, fighting to be unified, and spoken with plain intent. Fresh, original, and very you. I like it, yet it leaves me wanting more-- more details, more words, more explanations. Very good writing here.

Aww...Thank you lady... it was very kind of you to say such wonderful words..:)
i love this poem. good job, it is also very understandable but people should never be thought of in a negative way for wanting to be alone. we all need our moments of peace :)
