Modernity-An open question!

modernity evokes PESSIMISSM.a confused state in itself!

Things look lovely and alluring

Like the fresh hues of those incense-bearing flowers.

But these things are merely an artifice

Like the colours and added preservatives.

The children look playful,carrying those compact backpacks

But are there really books inside them or the remnants of the things used already by the children of their own age? 

The sea is composed and still,decorating herself and expressing coyness if and whenever the sun shines

But is it actually an embodiment of such calmness with the waves dashing hard against the shoreline?

He is an author who takes up his sword and writes,writes for the sake of humanity

But why is a boodle still seen waiting outsiding the movie hall for the next show at midnight?

Flowers add to the beauty of your surroundings,you love them everytime

But will you still prefer those plucked flowers or fragments of poetry over imported chocolates or snacks of midnight?

You will love to your heart's content,and write verses on her beauty

But will you accept that embryo in her womb and do your paternal duty?

You hate summer afternoons and prefer a roof above yourself

But what if I have no vehicle and only an umbrella to offer?

You are a modernist,a creature of modernity.

I asked so many questions,but sought answer from none.

It's open to us,for us to evaluate

The decision to destroy things or just to create!

this is such an important poem......
i guess we have to remain calm at heart and mind......while fighting hard against shorelines......until we win over that boodle.......we are yet to adapt to this earth.......
