believe

believe

A Poem by Fayte
"

inspired by the three most inspirational people in my life. If anyones wondering, thats elissa, my boyfriend, & mother :P

"
I believe in magic;
               in wind blowing through smoke,
in grass growing around concrete,
                     in trees growing from garbage,
& life springing out of decay.

I believe in small miracles,         in phoenixs & pixies

in laying in the grass untill
                                        the sun comes up again
                                 & counting stars all night

in swimming
       in a lake,  at night
till we cant feel our fingertips

I believe in talking to someone new everyday,

                                                    in coloringdismal building
                                                             with cheerful words
& standing up for the silent

i believe we have to save ourselves,
yet you have & continue to help me

I believe in rocking the line between
                                 loneliness  & independence
& finding beauty in the breakdown

I believe in feeling hail, sunburn, & wind.

I believe that roses have their thorns,
& that's what makes them beautiful.

I believe that time waits for no man,
& no matter your circumstances,
           the world keeps turning.

great stuff. all very positive. like that. wld change the cliche 'time waits for no name'. but I love it when a writer nails down a feel-good surge. cos I am positive at heart and I know a lot of people think life is crap for this and that reason. but we have to see them off! glass full of good cheer!

Wonderful. Your message was read loud and clear. Besides the punctual and grammatical errors, you did well.

This is perfect. I love it so much, everything about- the format, the bolded words, everything it says. Great work! Keep it up!

This has to be one of my favorite poems that I have read on writerscafe. I'm not just saying that, it's beautiful and positive and just breathes innocence with every word. I love the format you place your words in and the bolding you did, it really set the emotion and emphasis. Excellent work!

i just loved it. spectacular stuff, this, really!
the idea of putting the last word of the sentence in bold also very good,
from the heart and deeply felt
excellent:)))

Love it! I believe that roses have thorns, and that's what makes them beautiful. I like this line cause nothing and no one is perfect, we all have thorns, but that doesn't me we can't believe or someone can't believe in us. We can find beauty in everything. You just have to look.
It's a choice!

I concur, life is only appreciated when there's so little of it left. Good work here. I like this!

this is good. take that to heart, i think most people on this site are dreadful excuses for writers, but i honestly enjoyed this. it is simple and the format is spontaneous, but there is a lot here about building your own strength, your own world from the small things in and around you. suggestions...cut the line "yet you have...", it throws off the mood. also, maybe remove your explanations for the piece...the poem is strong enough on its own. great work, kid! :)
