Stay true

I recently went through a break up, so i thought i would write about it.

i wont get sad when i think of you;

babe we had a really good run. 

I'll never say you didnt care, we went through a lot when you were here, 

I wish you the best in life, even if you dont feel the same,

im sure you'll understand why i dont want to play these silly games. 

I hope someday you'll see, i did this out of love. 

but to wait around for you, just wouldnt be true to me, 

 

I understand it must be hard to live with all the choises you've made,

cause you and i both know that this was just a silly mistake.

So do your best to put me out of your mind, and maybe someday you'll forget. 

 

 

Thing were so good while they lasted, we could hang out and things were placid,

but then we started failling apart, failing relationships takes a certain art;

we fought a lot and started to lie, we never could see eye to eye.

It was a bumpy ride and now here we are, and once again i feel pretty far,

from being someone you can trust,

never though this could happen to us, 

But that no longer makes me sad, give it some time and i wont be mad; 

sorry to say i cant be your friend, though i promised that always here i would stand,

i've done the best job i can do, just know i'll always care about you
