From a Broken Heart, To a Broken Mind

This is about using drugs to stifle pain

Broken hearts leave troubled minds

have me taking pills of all kinds

take them to keep the pain away

snort them to keep the hate at bay

She hates me

and I do too

Thought she loved me

but it wasn't true

Oh how fickle people can be

but these pills, will always love me

so I take them, again and again

Because now they've become, my only friend

My heart is broken, now so is my mind

these darkest thoughts, I wish I could leave behind

When you cant remember, there is no pain

So I pump this poison into my vein.

Things feel better now

because last time I felt

I do not know.

Because this is how i've dealt

Putting poison inside my brain

these horrible feelings I hope to drain

lots of drugs to kill the pain

but now i'm unsure if i'm even sane

No more broken heart

nor troubled mind

I've made it an art,

to leave them both behind
