Anane

Anane

A Poem by felsy

The gift you gave, requested, that i put pen to page,

The purpose unsuggested, But to convey to her sage,

A love that's felt more deeply with every passing day,

For a toil that's spanned a lifetime whilst attracting little pay.

So now as time and circumstance have shifted,

The toil to be repaid. As your pain is lifted, So shall she be there to aid.

Acknowledgement of sombre tunes on strings, That talk to you,

Please remember that you are, not one, but through her you are two.

With gentle understanding and shared grief that's been your stage,

Allow the opportunity for your twain to come of age,

She watches from the balcony and sees the painful track-that will be walked and trodden hard as you are heading back.

So at this time, this written rhyme,

Is simply meant to say.

That without you and all you do.

There is no mothers day.
