Worthless Lover

Worthless Lover

A Poem by Zach
"

A poem about letting go of a worthless lover.

"
I hold on with a good measure of faith,
To keep a firm grasp on what’s left,
Let me go you said I want to feel your pain,
Eyes to yourself, you’ll never love again,
And blood filled your cheek when I looked,
What shame took you , when I walked out
On your knees is where I find you,
No different then when I left you,
God I want to know so bad,
What makes you think you know so much
That you can stand there and lie to me,
Your words are so tainted,
That makes you worthless.

Can I say or you say good riddance...A splendid poem...:)

Zach, this is a difficult poem to write a review. It must be a personal event in your life. A woman who is playing with you. A feminine thing to do, I am afraid. Not a good thing to do at all. A good man deserves better treatment. The poem tells a story, and also gives a stern warning, I think. Not just a warning to her, but all women who dare to treat a man so. You are really telling her off! Deservedly so, it seems.
