Sunset

The sun casts its last rays upon you as you breathe out your goodbyes...

Gazing across the endless horizon

I see the colors of crimson and gold blending into the world

Casting colored lights and dancing dark shadows

 

Relaxing upon my bed, I sigh

As memories of old, both of happiness and sorrow mix within

While the cold and wet scent of a gentle breeze fill me

 

Familiar faint melancholy pangs beat with my heart

As it slows, I felt a familiar warmth of smiles envelop me

Now, the setting golden orb draws near to twilight

 

With lavender coloring the heavens

And tiny glitters dusted across the darkening sky

I whisper my goodbye and rest
