High Resolution

A Poem by James Paulin

source of light disperse color white

existence bears significance

set free in embryonic sea

prenatal stare checks or compares

infancy of dependency

pastels unfold then brightly bold

wheels spin and big questions begin

eyes receive yet thoughts perceive

truth rings right in pure insight

just now succumbs as rashness numbs

views run wide as values collide

love unites with spiritual light

colors merge, layer and surge…black

i like the poem a lot, but i think the title does not do justice to the subject matter. the title makes it sound like an airy summertime piece and the poem has so much more value to it and deserves a stronger title that is reflective of what you are saying.

The rhymes in this give it a gentle rhythm which is not too intrusive - as always with your work, there is a skill within. And sight.

You were able to bring to this poem an impressive blend of linguistic and metaphysically philosophical competence. "just now succumbs as rashness numbs

views run wide as values collide" ----flawless and poetically beautiful.

As suggested, the title is changed.
