Michigan Resume

A Poem by James Paulin

I am Michigan

Dad worked for WWJ

Mom shopped at Hudsons

Uncle Matt was a Detroit cop

Vacation was a ride to Bob-lo

I am Michigan

Seen great cars designed

Looked up at Mighty Mac

Gazed out from Sleeping Bear

Looked down from atop the Ren Cen

I am Michigan

Won the Rose Bowl

Wear World Series rings

Held high the Stanley cup

Repeat NBA championships

I am Michigan

Love Mackinaw

Love Tahquamenon

Love Pyramid Point

Love beautiful peninsulas

I am Michigan

Decent of every race

Wolverine and Spartan

Mettle earned by hard work

I am a Michigander

You know, Michiganders are the only ones that say Michigander. Everyone else calls us Michiganians. I was born and raised *points to the crook between my thumb and forefinger*. ;)
