WAR OF WORDS

WAR OF WORDS

A Poem by FlawedByDesign
"

A verbal altercation of sorts.

"

WAR OF WORDS

You speak in vacuous tongue,
Your screams as though they’re sung.

I vehemently retort,
Spectrum of sounds that consort.

Your rhetoric cuts me deep,
Forces my soul to weep.

My words have no effect,
Your discourse begins to infect.

I’m becoming a mute,
Blaring canary turned mum brute.

You’ve succeeded in your slaughter,
Restrained this tumultuous water.

This is a Slam Poetry piece...excellent emotion and strength behind it with some very fluid lines that would lend well to reading it out loud....angrily. "blaring canary turned mum brute" loved that line.

Great work. I love the anger and emotion that's driven in this piece. Quite visual as well.
