Free Poem - Human Condition

A Poem by fletcherjo

Call me strong

I am.

Call me bold

I am.

But try to ask what makes up me,

It is not the virtues of society.

Instead it is the deeper things,

The devil’s horns and angel’s wings.

The appreciation of the inner beauty,

The notion of a noble duty.

Is anger and joy not the same?

Yet something works to curse the name.

So call me strong,

But is wrong to be weak?

Call me bold,

But is it wrong to me meek?
