The Boy is Jerry in "In The Last Analysis" by Amanda Cross

The Boy is Jerry in "In The Last Analysis" by Amanda Cross

A Poem by Floundering About

The boy does his best
to describe him:
Most people are just collections
of mannerisms he says but
this man is simply there.
I tell the boy
I don’ t think it’s his
mannerisms I begrudge
it’s his
there that’s unbearable.
Yes says the boy
more there than before
it is the underworld
after all.
