Sinking ship

Sometimes love doesn't stink but sinks..

When love comes, it is like a ship that is about to sink, but the diamonds stay afloat...
They glisten brightly mimicking the clusters on the moon...
Sometimes the diamonds sink along with the ship....
The darkness cast the love down to nothing...
All there is left are the tides covering the sorrows of a lost lover.

I'm old. Love changes. True love is a lifetime together with one person and our children. I liked the honest thoughts leading to sad ending.
