The Wheel

The Wheel

A Poem by (Super) Heroes Never Die

The fire of summer is dying
For the the birth of autumn's reign
Warm chills fill the air -
What once was green now fades.
The wheel is turning,
Ever moving,
The only truth of time.
Dawn and dusk always guiding us
To the beginning
And back to the end
once more.

A brief, splendid retelling of an ancient truth. The physical world is ever in flux. One gets the feeling in this one that the speaker doesn't consider this to be a terrible thing, only a part of life and thus a part of us. Well done.
