PETITION

a prayer

Today I lift myself to You, Oh God
Give me more strength
To carry all my loads
Give me more wisdom
To think and say the truth
Give me more patience
To stand still under the storm

I am a human, Oh God
And I need your guidance
Everytime I am pulled
By the darker side of life
I have to refuse
I have to be strong
I should carry on
To remain calm
For only in peace
I can taste my joy...

"for only in peace I can taste my joy" .. this longing peace filled by faith, I look up to you for finding such peace and calm through faith. I believe religion to be a flaw but I believe faith to be the cure. This poem speaks about your faith and devotion and I respect and admire it.
