Ride the Tide

Ride the Tide

A Poem by Alana Michele

the tide swells

and crests

bobbing your body

up and down

a sea of lost souls

and hopeless strength

rolling in and sliding out

sand and stone

rushing up

grating your skin

pain

pain that eases

the moment you feel

and washes away in the waves

waves that pull

dragging you to the depths

then spitting you upon the shore

well at least we are spit to the shore other wise we would have drowned. This write reminds me of life and adventures that are like waves that pull and thrust us deeper in.
