A Chapter by freelancejouster

chattering on, aimlessly,

and not stopping for pause,

telling a story,

repeatedly,

and walking atop anyone

or thing who would cut her off.

no pause for breath or reconsideration

of her audience,

as it becomes increasingly outraged

at her stories of late nights

and disregard of authority.

a panel of supervisors,

ready to drop the guillotine of termination

were she ever to allow one of them

a word in edge-wise.

this is what it's like when you're manic, you just never shut up. you talk incessantly without pause for breath about the same thing over and over. i like it.
