Déjà vu

Déjà vu

A Poem by Frieda P

We are given breath, we die
what fills those pages in between
are the complexities of life
 innuendos of an oblique allusion

Kismet, fate, or some divine intervention
the paths we take are sometimes vague
is this all predestined or do we
as humans, determine our fate

Has it been written in the stars long ago
on some crystal clouds or tissue paper,
should we abjure echoes of past?

Is Déjà Vu the very life we've repeated
felt beneath the soul's intrinsic liquid
like hot lava that bubbles and churns
I muse if life is preordained

A unique and interesting theme that is rarely, if ever, touched in poetry. I found Deja vu very interesting and a great read.

As long as we muse...
I enjoyed the write and the musing.
A worthy poetic expression.

I don't know, just that funny way you love to torture me. ;-)
I find it interesting too and it's quite a mystery - Great topic to challenge in poetry and you did a wonderful job with it.

Thanks for reading Ahmad :-)
Life is preordained Fate, divine intervention these are things people tend to believe or not believe in that's where for every action there's a opposite reaction or consequence for that action; Reliving things sometimes do tend to come forth doesn't it. as always keep writing fellow writer

Kismet :D I loved this because in hindi (Indian national language) it means fate, destiny. In Turkish too it means fate. that's awesome I love when poems are bilingual :P "like hot lava that bubbles and churns
I muse if life is preordained" I certainly think it is, I'm not really religious, I do believe in a high power, but I believe him to be a composer or a group of composers playing out our lives like the greatest musical piece ever created, that or we live in a network of parallel universe's, which make our lives go on a loop, playing out differently with a variety of consequences and endings, all in all its bloody deja vu' :P Great write, Adopt me, even better, Marry me! LOL

that's right. you've figured it out. life is a lava lamp. inside of a parachute....in a black light poster in velvet of card playing dogs....actaully, that's all b/s. i really like this write and i am a firm believer in deja vu. well done...

Déjà Vu is one of those too-rare treats that life offers...that fleeting moment when everything around you is...familiar...even if it's a new experience. This was a terrific piece, Frieda...full of questions that should certainly be pondered. Thanks so much for posting this.
