Punishable by Poetry

Punishable by Poetry

A Poem by Frieda P
"

'the wrath of a poet scorned'

"
What's behind these words,
     blood, sweat, tears
        heart & soul,
reaching into the vastness
 of perception and tangibility~
            swept away by pen
when you step on my emotions
          it leaves a scar
I surrender unto you my word
you steal them; it's broken trust
a betrayal punishable by the law of poets
we spew back in poetry with assasination
until the dirty deed comes undone
heed the warnings, they are everywhere

Do not tread lightly
upon the shadow I have cast
the dark side will eat you alive

love that ending I am shaking in my slippers
I am glad you published I was about to mail a whiny note of when..I was unpatiently waiting
thank you for telling them how it is how much it can hurt and the fact that the dark side will eat them alive

This is the ultimate betrayal. I do not know how I'd react if someone stole my work. I truly don't want to know...

This is an important subject and let it be known that the writer's passion can easily turn into vengeful wrath.

Loved this piece.

Plagiarism should be punishable by forcing the cretin to wear a suit of wet soggy noodles and forcing them to stay in it until its dry. Nicely written.

Thanks for your comment, not sure what it means.
Well, you have a clear message and you manage to get it across fairly well, but I do get the feeling that some of your word choice is just a tad too overbearing for the concept.

I disagree, thanks for your review nonetheless.
How sad that people stoop so low as to claim anothers work as their own. I keep copies of all my work before I put it here but I would like to think that the greatest proof would be in an explanation of each poem. I know exactly what was going through my head when I wrote each one, how could some else possibly be able to explain the choice of words selected when these things are so personal. I think a persons poetry has a uniqueness to it, your poetry has your fingerprints all over it - very recognisable style - feel pity for such peolple who obviously have no original ideas of their own.

I wish someone wld want to nick some of mine .. a professor lifted a poem once and stuck it on his webbie .. he was quite surprised when I called him out for a punch up .. and a young woman nicked a big chunk from a review I wrote recently .. she just stuck it right in the middle of her own review .. I was speechless .. i wld happily rip her toe nails out .. one by one .. very slowly .. equally I was quite chuffed she slyly nicked them .. however, if someone steals and makes 1 penny from any of my words now that wld have me reaching for a glass dagger
