Moon Struck

Moon Struck

A Poem by Frieda P
"

For the Crimson diavolo, you know who you are...let it be me.

"
Celestial skies were brilliantly bursting that night
       my eyes were open wide
             when I tripped into you
swiftly fell to the rhythm of your heat
          sweet was the fluid dance
                   of merging hearts
like moonbeams that pranced on twilight lit seas
i believed in you  as the promised religion
got lost in the nirvana of your touch
i surrendered my soul in lush tones of oleander
luscious poison, so enthralling, it hurt so good
this caged freedom of flight clipped
                                  my wayward gypsy wings
i wantonly entrusted them to your care
you inspired me to captivate the moon
                              in reckless abandon
i wished upon an imploding stellar star
that this crash commune in divine reality

This is absolutely stunning, Frieda. I love the words you chose for this piece.....the images of white oleander, the gypsy wings, the stellar star......mesmerizing. This is perhaps my favorite yet. Such a vivid imagination you portray in your writings. I'm enthralled.

Wow, Frieda. Your knack for metaphor and imagery is second to none, period. You take your readers on a trip with each of your pieces.

"You inspired me to captivate the moon" - That is hot!

Thrilled you took that trip with me Cyn! Thanks so much...
Frieda, you consistently bring such amazing images, and thoughts that I ponder for the rest of the day. "Like moonbeams that pranced on twilight lit seas, I believed in you as the promised religion, got lost in the nirvana of your touch..." Breathtaking use of language (Really - who can so effectively include, in one line, a simile, personification, AND metaphor, while maintaining fluidity? Only YOU, Frieda!) Whew! Terrific.

Grazie tanto Giovanni, means a lot coming from you...
Holy flip flops, wow, the imagery in this write is amazing, it is beautiful. I love how it feels like a movie playing on my screen as I read the sweet words you write, the romantic feeling you get from it. The way it flows, you've given it everything.

I loved the structure of this write, Frieda.... you always amaze me with each write, how my you put your heart and soul into it. With such dedication.

"Celestial skies were brilliantly bursting that night
my eyes were open wide
when I tripped into you"

The first stanza was my favorite. You started with an 'oomph' and ended with a 'bang!'

Music was fitting, I loved it. You always pick such wonderful music to go with amazing, devine writes like this one.

A very reflective poem full of soothing emtions of awakening after the Moon struck promises and where you are learning to fly with broken wings that you entrusted him with and where he clipped them...A felt sadness in this beautiful poem and the lost precious times in life...
Kudos as always...:)
