Earth Befuddled

Earth Befuddled

A Poem by Frieda P

Moon lost its memory
under the sun's corruption
constellations were befuddled
     starlight ceased to exist
starkness of day a pervasive force
   paradise was deadly overheated
no reprieve for soul's sleep
we tipped the scales with no intervention
burning desires caught in blazin' fires

This poem creatively express the plight of anthropomorphic climate change. "We killed paradise and built up a parking lot." Don't worry; Earth shall recover, but we won't. Microbes on this planet contain enough genetic material to quickly evolve a new array of creature and plants to fill every niche. Birds, fish, trees, and squirrels shall dance with joy after we join dinosaurs and dodo birds as fossils within the geological record.

Caretakers - thats all we are Frieda.
I found this poem describing our path to our own demise quite prophetic - but...as in all the great movies...there may be one last chance to turn things around..
Whaddya say my friend...?

Dark or light, hot or cold, it all seems to blend together into a damp shade of gray when the heart is empty. The emotions in this leap from the screen, the pains cries loudly and the emptiness just stares at me with blank eyes. Very cool Frieda.

Ha a new one, like kerfuzzled....thanks Angel!
This is either a description of paradise (nirvana) or hell...either way, the passion is the same ;) Such delicate words that pack a hearty emotional punch. Beautiful imagery and langauge, as always, my friend.

More like hell Friday, thanks so much.
paradise was deadly overheated...

Turning heaven into hell... a serious message in this thoughtful piece, Frieda. I feel for those constellations - they didn't know what hit them...
