What's Up, Doc?

What's Up, Doc?

A Poem by Frieda P
"

To doc, with lub ♥

"
If you're in need of a smile
 or just a good laff
he's the man to see
although he can be daft
Turns up the corners of your mouth
just reading what he touches upon
sometimes I have to wonder
what the guy is bloody on
Must take happy pills each
& every day
to turn out  the sillies
in his own prolific way
So, stop by his page
for some shytes & giggles and you will see
what's up with the hilarious doc
he's always bloody spot on
like a cuppa good ol' English tea

I never like saying this cuz I feel like it sounds pretentious, but this one really sounds like me, with the possible exception of stanza one...then again, I tend to specialize in daftness...But you are aware of my affinity for the old WB cartoons ;P All I needed was the title to designate this one for my library...oh, and I also echo the sentiments of the others regarding your rhyme...you did a great job with it considering you don't do it much...this one brought a smile to my face :)

A very good tribute to our very own Doc on WC, I like the way he makes me laugh by just reading his work.

Great job, most appropriate tribute to the crazy Doc.

Such a sweet endorsement. The rhyming is just fine and like you said, "It's the thought that counts," and this was incredibly thoughtful :)

I absolutely love reading his work. His poems just make me smile, I typically read them out loud to my kids.

I thought that this was wonderful and Dr. Wood is most definitely the man to see when you seek entertainment and a few laughs. What a wonderful tribute.

Thanks blue, a smile a in each & every poem....
hey. The poem has a cute story behind it, though I think it could be much improved. However, I like how you wrote with an English twist.

Thanks sparkle...
A fine rhyme and apt tribute to our own zany Doc! I agree that one should read him at least once a day for a cure for the common frown!
