Nature's Poetic Embrace

Nature's Poetic Embrace

A Poem by Frieda P

Do you hear the snow,
did you feel the leaves twirling
sitting with a cuppa hot sensory perception
stirred by the wonderment of awe
sugar coatings in smoky essence of phantasm
spirit visions looming on the horizon
waiting to be plucked and invoked
playful muse dances within diffusion's vapors
catching the light of morning air
breathe in the crispness of anticipation
length & breadth of manifestations,
     natures' spun revelations
   spoken through inky passages
breaking of bread to be shared,
partake each slice and evoke humanity

breaking of bread to be shared, partake each slice and evoke humanity...

Love this, Frieda. Nature begs to be shared; Mother Earth invites her children to the table every season, but the darn brats are too busy to notice the banquet she has prepared...

you have a peaceful mind and to share it in lyour words and never fail at developing the meaning of faith in beauty and prospect of a poet's heart amazes me Frieda. "stirred by the wonderment of awe

Thanks Tam...
This poem is a great tribute to the greatest author and poet; Christ. There's is not one thing in nature that doesn't make me want to stop and breath in it's awe all day.

Thanks for your unique interpretation M. G, glad you enjoyed....
I read the first line and it reminded me of a poem I wrote a long time ago called: "The sound of snowflakes" And funny thing, it snowed here last night. I didn't here much of it, that big yellow truck on the left is my office and I worked all night. Enjoyed your poem. LOTS,, Trace

Some very striking phrases here. My favourite lines:
"cuppa hot sensory perception
stirred by the wonderment of awe"
Absolutely delightful. I like the way you have made this poem more universal than personal, given that nature's bounty is for all of us. As you rightly say at the end,
"breaking of bread to be shared
partake each slice and evoke humanity".
Again, wonderful lines. I especially liked the phrase "evoke humanity". Nature can be wild. Nature can be even be cruel at times. But inevitably, in nature's lair, we all become innocent lambs. Nature indeed evokes humanity. A beautiful little verse!

Grazie mille Augustus, thrilled you enjoyed this one....
Such a poignant tribute to our surroundings, with a sense of restlessness embodied deep between the lines. Anticipated for what, exactly? Winter? Reconnection with humanity? Destruction by the cycle, or perhaps by forces of our own hands?

In a few words - this is simply sensational! The seasonal inhalation and exhalation...what wonders to be seen and awaited for, raise the spirits and toast together...wonderful! xx
