Pink Posies on Unicorn Wings

Pink Posies on Unicorn Wings

A Poem by Frieda P
"

*You cannot hide yourself behind a fairytale forever*

"
You want to read little pristine pretty posies not get involved betwixt & ignore the thorns of life whatcha gonna do when your scratch becomes infected hiding in the bushes of denial will get you hives of the contradicting type, bucking like a bronco amidst the flowery storm clouds of refusal riding through wild fields of four leaf clovers on unicorns wings of phantasmal puff'd perfectly pink skies pseudo fairy tales conjured up in the mind never to cross the median line of reality's mock deception swallow the chimerical pill of inauthentic utopia just be sure your mythical allegory never plays havoc in your secret garden of rainbow streaming sublimity, the fall is greater from the zenith of repudiation

That is my favorite part of this. Frieda you did it again. You painted a picture into the minds of the reader. Just a awesome job!

pseudo fairy tales conjured up in the mind
never to cross the median line of reality's mock deception
swallow the chimerical pill of inauthentic utopia
just be sure your mythical allegory never plays havoc
in your secret garden of rainbow streaming sublimity,
the fall is greater from the zenith of repudiation

A very appetizing dessert for my brain. Lovely written, Frieda. :)

As always, it's mind blowing and beautiful. And the fact that you put Epica in it made it about a million times better. I love Epica to death. And finding someone who also even knows of their existence makes me thrilled.

Liked this a lot...I guess on some levels this can be applied to me...and perhaps everyone...life is too blunt sometimes to face head on, so we retreat behind worlds of fantasy. Your vocabulary is quite stellar and the manner with which you put them together recalls a style not much seen in modern times. I enjoyed this thoroughly.

Reality? Ha! It wears so many hats, it can't possibly be true.

You, dear friend, have dragged the complacent into that place so many dread to be, scared of their own shadows, and as ever, you've used language to drool over, '.. hiding in the bushes of denial will get you hives ~ of the contradicting type, bucking like a bronco ~ amidst the flowery storm clouds of refusal.. ' Truth bleeds.

I've always enjoyed a good fairytale, sometimes reality sucks...but must be faced. I enjoyed your (not so gentle) reminder...
whatcha gonna do when your scratch becomes infected
hiding in the bushes of denial will get you hives....
Brilliant writing my friend~

Powerful indeed, Frieda. The "thorns of life" will cut you, they'll snag your clothing, they'll make you bleed. But to ignore them, to try to deny them, is futile. And for those who seem to have never faced the "thorns of life," they'll bleed that much more when they do. Well done!

I used to be a Pollyanna. Now I'm a troll.
unicorns wings of phantasmal puff'd perfectly pink skies
pseudo fairy tales conjured up in the mind
never to cross the median line of reality's mock deception
swallow the chimerical pill of inauthentic utopia
love that way that line just thunders down the page. Well done.
