~Pausing on a sigh

~Pausing on a sigh

A Poem by Frieda P

I paused in your disposition,
an excerpt of my sentiment's
timely extracted passages
affection's cadenced inclinations
complexion's blush'd bias tendencies
dusky clouds amidst delectation's reflections
wildflowers breath at the nape of my neck
scent'd of twilight's mysteries & amber brandy
a calm filled of shivers kind sympathy and tea
parched of wither'd revered druthers,
begotten heavy sighs of never forgotten harmony
etch'd within scorched reminiscence's memoirs
rewritten script'd blossomed desires on dusty shelves
smoldering in long ago places of nightfall's rhythm
haunting wakeful hours of dreams without rhyme
wistful for the dance 'tween spaces of sublimity's poesy

Dear Frieda, you have a mastery over transporting your reader to places that can only exist in some impossibly beautiful realms of their beleaguered minds...Here, I was transported to a beautiful, hazy twilight with a dream lover in a quaint, lovely villa full of comforts, a poor, harassed me can only think of...

First "Sigh" of the day goes to you my friend, as now I pause to take in this wonderful work that I have just read. It is 6:20 am here and my eyes were not quite in focus yet..."were not", but they are now. When like the morning sunrise I find your words and my day is once more bright, fresh feelings awaken and my senses tingle. I loved this poem sweet Frieda, to pause and reflect on past events, whether happy or sad is something we do often. Your poem opened with this thought and provided a glimpse into the beauty that is your mind.
