Quietude's repose...‏

Quietude's repose...‏

A Poem by Frieda P

Raining upon my soul's salvation
    spirited winds breaking their levy
agonizing reign of quietude's repose
    whirling typhoons of despair
upheavals of dither's agitation
    fluster'd turbulence plays havoc
      flooded of overflow's emotions,
mind in a free fall fracas
    blustering temperatures rearrange
            atmosphere's pressure under
  braggadocio's storm siege      tease
mood's gauge bent of salvag'd tranquility

Quietude is not always what we hope it to be. It is in the quiet moments that our minds, not otherwise occupied, are as you say:

fluster'd turbulence plays havoc
flooded of overflow's emotions,
mind in a free fall fracas

There is no winning for losing I think.

After the chaos and whirlpool, then what? The lull after the storm perhaps and not before...potently so ♥

The poem is amazing. The use of the language made me read the poem again. The above lines I like a lot. I'm re-reading Dante's inferno now. I like the a writer can weave words leading the reader to good places. You did in this poem. Thank you for sharing the excellent poetry.

The symbolism between the earth's majesty and the human emotion is well worded in this piece. The closing line is my favorite: mood's gauge bent of salvag'd tranquility
In this line, the reader can interpret so much. I interpret this line as the poet still prevailing through the confusion often present in this world. I enjoyed this poem. Write on.

Thanks so much jenn, glad you enjoyed.
Well what can I say about this wonderful gem that I have not said before? Well one things for sure, flustered turbulence is a beautiful way to put it and even though I know this piece is filled with swirling angst...it swirls so beautifully before my eyes. My sweet friend you are a treasure indeed...amazing.
