Feather'd a rouge poem~

Feather'd a rouge poem~

A Poem by Frieda P

You planted wildflowers

for my hair

 swept me off my feet,

gingerly feather'd

a rouge poesy

in the shape of my heart

sang a song of tea

unfurl'd in

honey'd rapturous charm,

nuzzl'd 'tween my breasts

a note, pen'd of love

shades of lusty interludes

 unfold'd within poignant caresses

press'd poppies' poetry

crimson rosebuds and wisteria

in blissful whisper's bloom,

cast in heaven's sighs

impassioned fire

a'blaze

~in foolish ecstasy

the Cyndi Lauper song is amazing, it in my head now swimming around and giving me smilies behind my eyelids... (I know the brain does amazing things sometimes.. at mine does)... oh and the POEM... I wanted to say something about those ecstasies (foolish as all get out) but everyone has mentioned them.. so.. leading up to those last lines, you colored the world with: "crimson rosebuds and wisteria
in blissful whisper's bloom, /cast in heaven's sighs" and besides the sigh I said out loud, I thought, yes Frieda, "impassioned fire / a'blaze" and I remembered a Dianna Ross song that went something like "If there's a cure for this, I don't want it", don't call the Dr."... you know, this is another poem I think your were smiling, laughing and giddy all over as the pen moved your hands (and perhaps heart as well).. perhaps you were thinking of another Cyndi song : "Girls Just Wanna Have Fun"... lol. But Frieda its a romantically fresh, wonderfully sweet smelling (all them flowers in your hair) and muchly appreciated poem .. Ha my proof.. look at all the loverly comment you got .... you are one special poet/woman Frieda.. X

Hello, mothernutter. :) You had me at the first two lines. Like an enchanted dream where all the possible foolish ecstasies thrive.

Thanks so much Chandradhish, thrilled you enjoyed this one.
From the feelings I derive from the speaker of this poem, it seems your speaker is so lost in the euphoria that they are beginning to think that this is too perfect to be true, as if disaster were a looming possibility over the both of them just waiting to strike. That somewhere in the notes written and the way their heart was shaped to fit the other perfectly, there is a warning embedded subtly, and that the speaker loses themself even more in ecstasy to escape the paranoia that accompanies the perfection allowed to them, hence the foolish ecstasy. Well done!

Such an intriguing review Tai, always love to hear your take on my poetry, thanks so much.
It does seem that romance makes us do foolish things sometimes....nuzzling between breasts causes brain freeze, doncha know? A charming man can enchant.....and make us forget whatever romance has done in the past. Such an elegant write, Frieda.....truly lovely. Cyndi Lauper sings the hell out of that song too! Lydi**

Old satchmo, how happy he looks and how happy he sounds, I rarely ever listen to music while reading poetry, but this blends really well missus, nice words, really really nice,

Grazie mille Rita!
So as I was reading, I imagined a beautiful lady dressed in a jeweled rich victorian dress inside a big victorian room filled with luxury furniture and colorful paintings sitting at desk with her quilted feathered pen [An Ostrich feather mind you lol] and writing in her little book while gazing thoughtfully out the window. Yes my imagination flew away on this one. [I didn't mean to say quilted but its seems interesting so I won't delete it :)]

style style style, a breath,
Now to find a large rock
Full in the sun
Warm so I can lay back like a lizard,
Let want close my eyes,
To dream of nuzzling .....
