Have your cake....

Have your cake....

A Poem by Frieda P
"

poetry's sweet tooth scribbles~enjoy, it's Frieday & this one is calorie free. ;-)

"

Like a cake left out in the rain,

layers of frosted poetry

melding into crevices, flavor'd

of emotion's plum content

and cravings

glazed with sugar'd icing &

tang'd bittersweet pieces,

biting taste of serving's

endless batch of jam,

nectar'd recipes flowing in

satisfying indulgences,

morels of

sweet tooth's poesy

Is there strawberries on that cake? I could really use some right now. I hope this review won't be colored by my current fevered state of mind. You always come up with the most interesting comparisons regarding poetry. A cake left out in the rain is one of the most interesting. Poetry is rarely perfect and precise...at least not the good stuff in my opinion. It drips and melds...flavors mix...textures alter..and sometimes it just isnt pretty. But when you taste it your senses respond in the most extreme ways. You may dance with delight or shake your fists in frustration. Whether you lick your fingers or stomp your feet you still go back for more because you cant resist it. Good thing its calorie free eh??

100 candles for that cake...and napkins, in case things get messy

Going back to sleep now..x

Jazz'd you took a nibble.
If it is fat free and chocolate then I will have it! ;-) Actually, who the heck cares, it's the weekend, my diet goes out the window on the weekends, ahahaha. ;-) I loved this, loved how if you read deep enough there is kind of a little twist to it.

Mmmmmm, now I am just after a pudding but I want some cake. Off to see if my Aunt has any. :P x

Ooh, I'm there! And surely will be enjoying it. ;o) My pleasure. Your muchly welcome.
A very sweet offering this morning my dear friend. Desert for breakfast, a sugar rush to get the day going. Life isn't always so sweet it seems but to have the good fortune to stop by and read your delicious work first thing in the morning allows us to forget for a while what is happening around us as we savor each scrumptious bite of your words.

This poem sure did put the frosting on my day.
