A Poem by Frieda P

Tattooed in braille upon my heart

a soft quiver of your remembered touch

gently sigh'd shivers down my spine

convictions sketch'd in affectation's symphonies

moonlight sonatas blush'd of tangerine twilight

shudders within caramel scented spirits' roar

brought me dandelion's breaths savor'd heights

silver lining's fairy tale wafted to sky's disruptions

precluded of harmony's finale intentions

imperceptible etchings of a once upon my mind

'if       you only knew, the only thing I still believe in

                                                                         ...is you'

I was in love with this piece with that very first line. Tattooed in braille upon my heart. I had to read the poem a second time, because the first time through all I was thinking about was how wonderful that line is. But, once I did go through on my re-reading of this piece, I was quite happy to realize that there were many other wonderful lines with in it, as well. Caramel scented spirits' roar. You have a wonderful sense of imagery, and when you take them in as a whole (because it is so easy for me to get caught up in the beauty of an individual line with this piece lol) you're left with a strong impression of what is being conveyed and enough images to be the basis of personal experience and memories, shared in clever verse and painted words. AKA, loved it. For the individual beauty of each line and for the piece as a whole. Good work ^^

FRIEDA! You have included my favorite song ever in your author's note! And I am completely and utterly in love with your poem!

"moonlight sonatas blush'd of tangerine twilight"

Sometimes you really make me wonder - where do you come up with these incredible lines? And the first line just took my breath away, oh what wonderful poems you write! I cannot get the imagery of this poem out of my mind, I have to read it again. Wonderful piece of art!

Thanks for this glowing review Coyote, much appreciate your kind words.
Braille tattoos that were imprinted years before and could only be deciphered by one specific person, and having that person return, but expecting you to be the same . . . I like how this opens up the prospect
of a future without particularly foreshadowing anything, whether or not the new you will work out with an old dog from the past . . . Well done.l

I always love your interpretations of my poetry, thanks so much Tai.
This was lovely. Beautiful imagery and advanced diction, it's exactly what I look for in poetry. There is always a threat in a poem like this, that one line may not be as complex and meaningful as the last, but there is no hesitation or lack of impression here. Well done.

Thanks so much, glad you enjoyed.
your imagery is really enjoyable, but you need to consciously avoid cliche's. that said it creates a very beautiful and vivid moment that i in no way regret experiencing
