~ lost wildflowers

A Poem by Frieda P
"

neath a shady bloom

"
lost wildflowers
        neath closed windows,
                       dither'd  bloom's shudder
               wilting in arrested fantasies
rhythm  of sun's betrayal
          faded in interruption's tune
   essence'd fragrance
              fallen beneath the cracks,
        no escaping rhymes's paradoxical roots
           sway'd under a moon's dark melody
maestro's scathing notes conduct'd
keys of C major's dusky tunes
                 F sharp's inauthentic glow
    sans relief from brutal digging
      mortification's dirty little secret
  buried deep within soil'd cover
              wither'd on the vine

This poem captures the music in words, which is no easy feat. I am glad you included the music along with your poem, it was great to see your thought process in an otherwise thoroughly sensual poem. The visualization was great; the almost giddy babble of eloquent words and phrases such as "rhythm of sun's betrayal". This line flows so well and ties in with the feeling of a flower waving and bending under the hot sun in a field.
I won't try to over-interpret it, because to figure out the poem's meaning to a T would be to destroy it, but even without meaning it is a beautiful read. Great poem, every word was almost tangible.

Why are all these other poets praising this poem, oh that is right because it is bloody brilliant Moonbeam… you make the pen magical when you hold it in your hand, how else can the ink spill out and spellbind the reader.

What a sweet thing to say, thanks so much Kelly!
Ah, the burning Sun and fertile ground that feeds a flower must in the end wilt its bloom, and rot its fallen blossoms. Every flower has a dirty little ephemeral secret that’s camouflaged by her momentary beauty. Our Universe is winding down to a state of maximum entropy, but beautifully so in the form of blooming galaxies that slowly fall to ruin.

I always appreciate your in-depth thoughts, thanks so much Aethereal.
"Wilted in arrested fantasies", we are all lost if fantasies are stopped, especially if "sans relief from brutal digging
mortification's dirty little secret"..

Frieda your words make me want to curl up and wilt, they make me want to hide under the covers.... they also make me love the strength of you even more, amazed at the depth of the courage to show such... such "lost wildflowers"... xxoo

Your words bring a smile to my heart Curt....thanks muchly my dear friend. xo
Sadness comes in seasons... when we cannot let go (of dirty little secrets) it becomes overwhelming...

Every song has to come to an end, and it may leave a little scar but there is always a note we can appreciate.

Beautifully penned, Friedalicious!~xoxo~

Sighs and flip flops, I like that....thanks so much sweet noodlebumble. xo
This poem conveys much sadness and betrayal...the sun that ought to have warmed, nurtured, not betrayed, caused much mayhem and destruction and a sea of pain still thrives under cover. This is so touching and beautifully written Frieda.

Grazie mille sharonlee!
I think this is one of the best you've done recently, which is saying something cuz they're all masterpieces...but the rhythm of sun's betrayal, the fragrance fallen beneath the cracks...time is a cruel entity, and flowers are really the ultimate emblem of that reality...the song (and band for that matter) is a perfect vehicle for the message...a work of amazing beauty my dear friend...xo
