Malformed metaphors

Malformed metaphors

A Poem by Frieda P
"

?

"
Blinded by an obvious dark moonbeam
  taken hostage in indecipherable lies,
invoking anomaly's enigmatic composed cries
deaf violins tinkering on black piano keys
conducting an objectionable poetic sainted response
            erratically screeching tears of words
knighted in bended knee's supplicated excuses
   disparity in past monstrosity's delusions
hysteria broke out of its straitjacket & lost control,
obsession turned on a dime's rhyme
escaped to a dimly authored hole
       conformity stoked the arcane fires
              ignited within lunatic desires
discontented infidels spoke in tongues
sun worshiping in turbulence of recondite winds
whispered hush of truth's  malformed metaphors

A collage ... that puts together a selected bunch of curiosities ... that first draws our attention as fun ... and then as a storm in a cup. Reads like notes on a piano ... played at random ... but the order and organization of thought that accompanies the poem ... speaks volumes as experience. A fascination that is equal to meeting someone we have not seen for a long time. Tentative but interesting ...

Thanks for the invite Tate.

Now this is called writing! Very well composed with deep meaning to unravel! Twisties in the simplicities.
hysteria broke out of its straitjacket & lost control,
ignited within lunatic desires
Both these lines spoke volumes and actually evoke the danger and risk that we are all attracted to.
I loved reading it. Fantastic work.

Wonderful word play and metaphors. Very colorful imagery. Mostly I love the word play...it has multiple meanings and can be tailored to the reader. You never cease to amaze me with your vocab! Lovely. :)

It was more a poetic rant, one of those days :) Grazie....
Your lovely quick and intelligent style shines through -- one thing, I wonder if hostage by would be better than in followed by indecipherable.

I thought of that, but the first line uses 'by'...my OCD wouldn't permit it. ;)

Thanks muchly for your visit & review Michael...
Who's to say what form a metaphor should have? Is there ever one that is malformed? I don't think so. There are days "hysteria broke out of its straitjacket & lost control" because it seems like the right thing to do at the time. I liked the scattered rhyme and the stream of poetic consciousness in this one. Jumpy around, but the rhythm is catchy! Lydi**

All depends on your perspective, I don't think two poets read the same poetry/metaphors in quite the.. read more
Nothing malformed, just deliciously twisted at a curious angle. Images to wrap one's head around... great piece, Frieda!
