Balm for the soul...

Balm for the soul...

A Poem by Frieda P
"

"
Thou art the skies, my vast ocean,
        sanctuary
 in the night's pitch dark
  quietude like the flutter
               of butterfly wings
roar of the sea when need be,
wildflowers of my bloom
            in wanton prayer,
     envelops solitude's endearment
   balm for the soul,
                    a dance within spirit
frivolous enjoyment
                    of shared laughter,
   satisfaction
              in the hours of stillness,
surrendering
 anticipation's expectations,
 lifted to a higher plane
            of Utopian gratification
      centering
                                my euphoric quest

The poem is amazing and beautiful. It felt like silence prayer and thoughts. I like the places and thoughts I was able to feel from the very good description. Thank you dear friend for sharing the outstanding poetry.

Words and warm thoughts heal our souls as they land on our eyelids and touch our lips.

What a sweet sentiment Will, thanks so much...really appreciate your kind words.
This is such a beautiful poem, although I read in a love story straight away, I soon turned to an almost mystical spiritual journey to the center of the soul, somehow you can approach this from so many directions and still find what your looking for, incredible Frieda, in fact you are an incredible poet Frieda

"Sanctuary in the night's pitch dark"- yes it is Freida.. it is the only way our wounded souls get healed. The soothing balm to us.It touched me Freida to the very core of my soul. The satisfaction when we pen down something is heavenly.. wow Freida. I just can't find words to explain this feeling. Thank you so much

Wow you gave me goosebumps Sophy, thrilled you 'felt' this one!
At ease and that is not the milatary order rather the mood which is most commonly known in italian by the term Adagio. At ease then there are times when reflection needs to take over in order for closure to come about. It is important to try at least for me so the beggining of a new experience is allowed to flourish or as Frieda so aptly puts it: in wanton prayer, envelops solitude's endearment. It seems like a goodbye of sorts a very tender one fully loaded with emotions that revel in fragility as the situations requires it.

This needs careful handling

There is a vibrant amount of sincere respect in your words

Thankyou
