The Praying Judas

The Praying Judas

A Chapter by Ethan Paz
"

Question if you're a Judas or not. A Judas is very deceiving and misleading for he calls himself a follower and is bound to hell.

"

The Praying Judas

You looked so kind
No one ever thought twice,
For you helped and you gave
And it seemed like you were a Christian.
A follower you were called,
And you went to church
Not to mention prayed.
But in your heart
No one else knew
For you were a king of the hypocrites
Unclean and unsaved.
Your words were nice.
Encouraging like a rose,
Yet it’s thorns were clearly seen
After the hand has been pricked.
We praised you like one of our own;
A righteous brother bound to heav’n,
Yet after the blemish was spotted, it was too late.
I saw you helped my bro
In the midst of troubled times,
For he was surely in eternal need
And you delivered him safely
But who would know
That you were in bigger need?
For you were a hypocrite bound to hell.
I saw you praying in the pew
With your hands closely knit together.
You came forward to the altar
And you’ve been praying ever since.
But who would know
That nasty deed you would commit?
In your heart it surely was formed.
For out of the abundance of the heart
The mouth speaketh
And
Your life eventually lived it out.
