Probably Absurd!

Probably Absurd!

A Chapter by Ethan Paz
"

Philosophy is attained most of the time by examining one's self. Here is a poem to give you pieces of wisdom for your use.

"

Your life

          Is a

              Nice house.

How are you so beautiful

                             Yet

                             So dirty so quickly?

You desire to be beautiful and you say you are

                              BUT

You won’t trick me! I see through your alibis Miss Pretty.

Shhhhh!

Don’t ask.

Don’t speak.

Just listen-

To anyone

Except

For me.

Life is natural!

Just listen to yourself

                        And

                        Do it!

Even then . . .

Even then will your life need cleaning.

Remember

Your life is a house!

You will never finish cleaning!

But

I found a trick.

Shhhhh!

Don’t ask.

Don’t speak.

Just listen-

To me

That is . . .

If you want peace.

Contentment is the key!

Push the bar and exceed your limits

By contentment!

But since you naturally are never satisfied

You can not receive contentment in the things of this world.

You can only find contentment

                                In

                               God alone!

Only He can meet your insatiable desires.

In God, you can find contentment.

But who am I to know this?

Aren’t I just a fool?

Am I not only content?

Please explain the meaning of life!

Is your life

             A

             Nice house?

Very interesting. A different format. Most philosophers have a wonder in thew world and always ask questions. You don't do so much of asking in this poem. Also, a true philosopher would add more detail to why life is a house and could it be anything else as well?? You know it was a philosopher that came up with the idea of the atom. Be very thorough next time.

I think that the construction of the piece gives it a whole new jolt of power, because the reader knows EXACTLY how to read it. This was a great experience and aan adventure to read, thank you for sharing.

This poem is so good. The set-up of the story made it stronger. I like how you section up each part. Making your point in each set of words. The meaning of the poem is true. To maintain a house take effort and kindness. A house based on love will stand strong. A outstanding poem.

This is a great poem and I love the your house is never finished cleaning. That gives a modern feel to this poem one that more people can relate too.
