Pure Philosophy

Pure Philosophy

A Chapter by Ethan Paz
"

Philosophy in a Biblical perspective

"

Think once and you might come closer

Think twice and you will find yourself farther.

Do you not believe me?

Look . . . this is reality

Let me help you see

That this is reality

Things aren’t what they appear to be.

Just take off those glasses

And let’s get this party started

For things are just out of control!

Ask and ask again but don’t ask the teacher

For a teacher’s wisdom can profit you nothing be that you experience it.

I know life is confusing but guess what I found out

Life never reveals its answers to the fool nor the wise.

Go ahead store up your money or stockpile your food

But if you don’t enjoy it, what’s the use of it?

Do you not believe me?

Look . . . this is reality

Let me help you see

That this is reality

Things aren’t what they appear to be.

Just take off those glasses

And let’s get this party started

For things are just out of control!

How are you able to be comprehending me

And how are you able to think?

Just meditate upon this and ask, “How is this supposed to be?”

Life doesn’t make sense when you just take a moment

But guess what . . .

This is reality.

Don’t deny the truth but accept this plain fact:

That God created the heavens and the earth. It’s just all that!

Thought provoking, yet light hearted! Well done, though the God thing was a bit abrupt. I know this is old and all, but I just wanted you to know how refreshing this is after reading so many poems that only speak of love and heart-break.
