Starving in Something More

Starving in Something More

A Chapter by Ethan Paz

Shall I starve for you,

Though the mountains fall and the earth quake?

Though I have nothing,

Shall I starve for you?

Yes, God, I will starve for you.

Your hand is strong

And your might knows no end.

Your will is mysterious

And Your counsel, who can stop it?

You lay rocks upon my back,

And You lead me to the fires-

For Your name’s sake.

For Your name’s sake is my fears revealed

That I might face my fears so I can fear-

A true Fear.

You are still good.

Though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death,

I will fear no evil.

Thy rod and staff, they comfort me.

You comfort me, God.

I may not see any light,

And I may be quite weak.

But to God I have put my trust

And to Him only am I on my knees.

Coming up to Easter when Jesus died for us this is a clear reminder, that faith is strong and beautiful, and indeed pray is power and hope. I very much enjoyed reading you.
